Free Dental Care to New Jersey Children

A family dentist in New Jersey, Dr. Mark Nelke holds a doctor of dental medicine from Fairleigh Dickinson University and completed training in dental implants at the Zimmer Institute. Named a Warren County Dentist of the Year, Dr. Mark Nelke maintains membership in the New Jersey Dental Association.

To support dentists in giving back to their communities, the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) operates initiatives such as the Give Kids a Smile program, part of Give Kids a Smile Month, which takes place each February. On the first Friday of the month, members of the dental community provide free dental services to children without access to care.

The program invites local dental and orthodontic offices to register and commit to providing services such as fillings, extractions, and restorative treatments at no cost to families. Additionally, patients can receive preventive care such as fluoride and sealants that help protect teeth. Each year, more than 100 New Jersey practices participate in the program, resulting in more than 2,000 children receiving vital dental services.
